Softtide Knitworks

About the studio

A quieter way to learn a tactile skill.

Our story

Softtide Knitworks began in 2018 when founder Elin Hart started recording clear stitch demonstrations for a small neighborhood group. The studio grew through careful recommendations, not noise: one useful lesson, one finished object, and one confident knitter at a time.

Today our courses bring that same table-side clarity to learners everywhere, with generous notes and projects that fit real lives.

Our mission

To make knitting education welcoming, precise, and spacious enough for independent thinking.

What guides our work

Explain the why

Technique becomes durable when learners understand its purpose.

Respect the process

Mistakes are useful information, never a reason to rush.

Make it wearable

Projects should be beautiful, practical, and connected to daily life.
